Got a long boring drive and got a buzz on? This is the ticket to maintaining a positive attitude during heavy traffic. Believe me. I bought it on vinyl and then cassette and finallyon compact disc. Gotta have a Headhunters fix once a week.

Not much needs to be said; the album speaks for itself. Herbie’s solo at 5:24 in Sly is out of this world.

I remembered Head Hunters while growing up in the Lafayette Garden projects in Brooklyn, NY in the early 1970s. Brings back memories of great jazz, and R&B acts.

Snoop Dog helped honor the Master Herbie Hancock tonight and First Lady was so pretty in her gown ! Loved the color...and met Herbie in Memphis on Besle street I swear he speaks a different language even though he will occasionally speak English to us regulars ! Congrats

This was a classic when I listened to it in high school in 1977, and it still is. I am now 52 and I still love listening to it! Herbie Hancock was, and still is, such a trailblazer. This album was so far ahead of it's time, especially when you look at the subsequent direction fusion and jazz keyboarding took.
  • Most Valuable Disc EVER

wow man ! I mean, I have about 4 years listening and EVERY SINGLE TIME discovering something new on this album. Everything is sooo perfect man really, I think this is a result of a very complex context, Herbie was just discovering his funky side at almost the same time he converted too buddism, paul jackson's unique style is a key factor, he creates a very amazing feeling that we as listeners perceive, and to me as a drummer there's nothing compare harvey's playing. This is a real masterpiece really best album ever
  • Overpriced; still a great album

Admittedly, this is an outstanding album. However, I purchased it from a brick & mortar store for 1/2 price. Be careful & shop around.
  • Herb's best album!
